Linux Academy’s sales team is growing and we have openings on a variety of teams but our greatest urgency is in the role of Business Development Rep. We're currently seeking energetic, great communicators to join us on the front lines. You'll have opportunities for advancement and will work an environment with people who love what they do. This position has potential to evolve in many directions as the company grows, so having comfort and flexibility around change will be a necessity.

As a Business Development Rep, you will need to be competitive and self-motivated with a desire to join a high producing team that moves at lightening speed. Think of this position as our first line of engagement with any and all new business that comes through the door, and most of the time, you will be kicking in that door. You will be calling, emailing, reaching out via social media and any other method that proves fruitful for contacting prospects for the purpose of setting up a call with our Account Executives. This role is an in office sales position working in our Dallas/Fort Worth Area office and requires no travel.

In this role, you will need to:

  • Become an expert in identifying challenges that our prospective clients face, which can be solved with our solution
  • Conduct a high volume prospecting to qualify leads
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our Account Executives to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans
  • Work internally with sales management and marketing to ensure proper quality and quantity of appointments are being set
  • Schedule needs assessments meetings for our Account Executives
  • Conduct initial qualification calls with specific prospects
  • Requirements

    It would be ideal if you had:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience within a sales team that produces and exceeds their goals consistently
  • Desire to speak with people you do not know and have a keen ‘nosey’ interest in specific details in a professional capacity

  • Experience in a startup environment
